Driven as a getaway car in an episode of the TV series Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities, a mint Holden HK Monaro GTS 327 Brilliant Blue will go under the hammer at Shannons Classic Vehicle Auction on 12 July
With only two owners in its history, build number 312 of the HK Monaro GTS 327 has only 143,000km on the clock.
The legendary Holden features its original 327-cid Chevrolet V8, four-speed manual transmission, limited slip differential, sports suspension with rear radius rods, power front disc brakes and a long-range 95-litre fuel tank.
Shannons says the car, which the current owner acquired in 2002, is in top mechanical condition and is one of the nicest GTS 327 models it’s ever driven.
The Monaro features UBELLY plates registered in New South Wales, and the glovebox is signed by Australian actress Kate Ritchie.
The car is expected to sell for between AU$130,000 to $160,000 (NZ$163,890 - $201,700), thanks to its excellent mileage and owner care.
