A 1957 Ferrari 250 testa Rossa has set a new record price for classic cars at auction
The 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa was auctioned for nine million euros ($NZ 20.7 million), Italy's Ansa news agency reported.
The car was auctioned in the northern Italian city of Maranello.
The racing car was one of 34 of the Testa Rossa line, which won a series of races in America.
The winning bid was about two million euros higher than the amount paid out last year for a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spider that had been previously owned by actor James Coburn.
